We are taking the DCs to Lapland this winter. DD 8 DS 4 (SN inc physical/mobitity issues)

Probably for 3 days, although just working on DH for 5 days (esp if can get a free dc place) so that DS has some 'down time' between activities so he doesn't get too disagreeable.

Is it a real faff if you stay in a cabin, to get changed into all your ski suits and go to brekkie? Is staying in a hotel convienient Vs missing the magic of log cabin etc

I like the idea of cabin, being able to make basic snacks for the fussy delightful DCs who may baulk at reindeer burgers.

TIA

we went for the day, ds has cp, we went with canterbury travel, it was great and not to hard for ds.

Thank you vs, we are looking a canterbury travel too.

Probably to Salla, as would like to sleep in an igloo!

We are doing this instead of a main summer hol, as ds would not cope with the day trip (from what I can see quite and early start/late finish) he tires easily and his behaviour suffers.

If its any help, we went for Xmas with parents and DD who is 4. We went for a weeks skiing holiday with Inghams to Levi. Wasn't really the intention to ski (although we did a bit) but it is much cheaper that way. We were self catering in a log cabin which worked really well and I think it was about £530pp for the xmas week.

it was a fantastic trip, really beautiful, loads to do and see (only slightly spoilt by DD getting flu for some of the week and DH twisting his knee, but then you can't have everything!!)

If I can be any more help, let me know but hope you have a fantastic time.
