New Year Holidays

Hi,
Looking for some recommendations of where to go for new year sun, around 10nights.
What we are after is a 2 bedroom apartment/room in a hotel complex that has cooking facilities if we wanted to stay home some evening, our children are 8&6 and we like to have 2 bed accommodation so no-one is sleeping in the lounge area.
I have looked at HL Club Playa Blanca but it only has a microwave, ideally we would like a hob/oven.
Any suggestions as to where to go and what resorts, we are very flexible, looking at Canaries but happy to go further afield.

Our budget would be around 5/6k
TIA

Would you be up for winter snow sun instead?
As most of Europe will be too cold for sun sun weather at new year, even canaries is 15-20 so more Jeans and jumper rather than pool and beach.

Many ski area you can get a 2 bed apartment just outside ski resorts for around £2000-3000 for that. Then ski, spa, etc

There are a few places in Gran Canaria that offer 2 bedroom apartments, they do come with with 2 or 4 cooking rings but not many seem to come with an oven.

We have booked to go to the Canaries just after Christmas and have booked self catering (after an awful all inclusive this half term). Have a look at Jet2 and Tui which both had lots of choice for self catering rooms/apartments within nice hotels.

WorldQuest Orlando. You’d probably have a bit left in your budget for theme park tickets too.

I love the idea of skiing but I am concerned that the boys would get bored when not skiing, and to me 10 days seems a long ski trip. With the canaries it's predicted around 22 which would be pleasant enough during the day

Can you recommend any? Most that I look for on Jet2, easyJet and Tui show one bedroom for 4 people. I did look at villas but paying for the flights separately they flights are extortionate.

I did think of Orlando but OH worries that you have to drive everywhere there, we like to be able to have a walk into a strip of bars/restaurants and shops after our daily activities.
Disney is definitely on the list but I think I'd rather wait until both DC are of height to go on all rides

Cordial Mogan Valle in Puerto Mogan Gran Canaria has two bedroom apartments with huge balconies. Various pools. Near the beach. Good supermarket opposite for self catering.

But no full oven. Only two ring hob and microwave for cooking. Easy enough for pasta dishes and breakfasts. Numerous places do take out pizzas and rotisserie chicken with Canarian potatoes and just add a bag of supermarket salad leaves and coleslaw etc.

Puerto Mogan is small but very pleasant and New Year a great time to go.
Or if you really want Playa Blanca try asking on the Trip Advisor page or PB Facebook for two bed apartments with decent cooking facilities.

Barcarola Club Apartments
Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote

Cordial Santa Agueda Resort & Perchel Beach Club
Arguineguin, Gran Canaria

Arguineguin Park by Servatur
Arguineguin, Gran Canaria

These were on the Jet2 website and have 2 bedroom apartments, some of these were saved on my favourites. Often you can upgrade from a one bedroom to a two bedroom when you click on the room type.

We are actually staying in the apartments that the previous poster has mentioned in Puerto Mogan which look really nice. We have booked a one bedroom apartment as my youngest son isn't a fan of sleep.
