Anyone have any opinions on Salou?

Looking for a relatively cheap and cheerful week in Spain. Not too fussed on location-just after a beach and some sun.

Salou seems a fair bit cheaper than other places I’ve looked at including, Benelmadena, Torremolinos, Alcudia.

Wondering why? Any thoughts?

i loved the Hotel Belvedere 15 mins walk from the local theme park.Very nice staff and lovely place.It cost me and my daughter 400 each for a week all meals included flights .
