Hi, we went to Cala san vicente last spring. Our villa was wonderful C'al an Bosh, with a shared pool, but the vilage has no centre, and is dominated by ugly hotels plenty of places to eat and a small scruffy beach.
Pollenca is much nicer, so is Puerto Pollenca.
Cals San Vicente has a really small beach, and two big Package style hotels.
It gets over run apparently , with noisy people from the hotels who have little to do but drink.
Puerto Pollenca is a port, and obviously bigger, but it's really lovely. Wide pine walk , where ypu can stroll for miles along the edge of the sea, until you reach tiny simple cafes almost on the sand.
Pollenca, the hill town , is gorgeous.Steps up to a cathedral, beautiful sqaure where you can let the kids run around chasing pigeons as you drink sangria. I would actually stay there if you have car, away from the obvious noise of the coast, but near enough to spin down for a dip.
We were out of season, so it would be far more crowded high season, but I have to say, san vicente disppointed us.
