Spain arrivals queues

Looking at booking a v last min break next week due to school strikes. Wondering about anyone’s recent experience queueing at immigration with UK passport - went to Madrid last year and had to wait over an hour, which I don’t really fancy with kids if we can help it.

Anyone been to Canary Islands before and can comment on whether wait times were ages?

We are in fuerteventura and there was no queue at all for our arrival. We flew from Edinburgh on a Saturday and arrived around lunchtime

We flew into Malaga a few days ago, short queue at immigration and bags pretty much on the belt by the time we reached baggage reclaim.

Oops, just read your post properly & you mention the Canary Islands.

No queue there either but that was a few years ago!

Went to Tenerife at half term and it looked ok, there weren't a huge number of flights coming in the same time so just the one plane load at a time. It was a small arrivals zone so if there were a few arriving at the same time it could be tricky.

Mind you I did get to move into the EU queue but as we were among the first out, staying put wouldn't have taken me much longer. So I guess it depends where you are on the plane.

Was in Majorca last week. We were in the families queue which took longer but was only 10-15 minutes. Our relatives got straight through.

Breezed through Lanzarote.
