EasyJet Holidays

Anyone know much about easyJet holidays?
Have never booked a package through them.

Spent weeks searching for a decent price for next July to Cyprus for us and other families for a friends wedding as we all want to stay at the same place.

Everyone went to book last night and only 2 families managed it and now it says there's no flights left, which I don't think will be the case as it's over a year ahead.
Am I just too early? Does anyone know when more get released?

I'm gutted I spent so long and we were the ones most requiring the best price.

This happened to me, the next day the flights/package became available but for a slightly higher price

EasyJet will release flights for July around the beginning of October if they follow the last 2 years flight release. If you sign up to the app or kept an eye on the post on here the best deals are on flight release day!

Doggymummar · 29/06/2023 07:02

There's only about 300 seats on a plane, so it's not infinite numbers. There will be multiple flights each day I would have thought. Perhaps widen your search criteria. Everyone tends to book on release day to get the best prices. Try again in a few days. Use incognito browsing though or it senses your desperation and increases prices.

We book Easyjet holidays and book way in advance. I tend to find, if booking for peak school holiday dates, that booking before the flights are released for booking is cheaper. I have had an experience of them cancelling our flight and moving us to 1 6 hours earlier.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't let you all book, but possibly they only allocate a certain number of seats for their packages. Try again today like PP said and see if there is more available. Do you have any flex on dates if not? Obviously you need to be there for the wedding, but going a day before or after?

shakeitoffsis · 29/06/2023 07:15

Thanks all.

Yes we have room for movement on dates and duration but they get married on the 24th July so I'm trying to go around the 17th/ 18th ish for 10 days. But open to going just for 7!

See if the same holiday is available through Jet2. I did thus when EJ had no availability.

Okay you won't be on the same flight but hopeful you'd still be there for the same dates.

I booked a holiday for DS and I with Easyjet that got cancelled/delayed due to Covid and they were amazing.

Finally rebooked to travel two weeks shop and sadly wasn't able to travel as was ill so was able to transfer the booking to DH instead 4 days before we were due to fly and they only charged £25. It would have been more to change names on flight only.

Have been really really happy with them, thinking of using them next year

Use incognito mode to go back to the websites, the prices increase the more they see you looking at them.

Can you book the flights and accommodation separately. Try another airline. Look at different airports. For my daughter’s wedding guests are arriving by various routes and some are flying to the mainland and arriving by ferry .

Roselilly36 · 29/06/2023 07:30

We have been on EJ holidays in the past, the flight element is always cheaper as the dates are released, we noticed. I found them fine. We don’t use them now as we relocated and they don’t fly from our nearest airport.

shakeitoffsis · 29/06/2023 07:56

Thanks all for your input.

Am searching jet2 and easyJet (and TUI but they are much dearer) at the moment there's no options to fly home on 26th/27th July which is annoying as if we go for a week we would have to fly home the day after the wedding which isn't ideal. Honestly I'm confident booking holidays but I don't normally book so far ahead which makes me think I'm too early.

Try the Skyscanner website, you can filter dates, departure airports and destinations. Then you'll get an idea of which airlines have flights to suit you.

CrackerAndPudding · 29/06/2023 14:15

WTFAreYouForReal I do that as a rule. The problem here is that after I booked our holiday, the second couple went online but it was marked as "unavailable" when they tried to book it (came up on the search, showed as an option). The next day they did the same search, it came up again, but this time for £100 more. We were trying from two different locations so it wasn't tracking cookies or IPs.

iloveyoghurt · 29/06/2024 18:31

They cancelled our flight and literally left us at the airport st 10pm with nothing, not a human to talk to and no info over the phone, utter joke

PrincessMee · 30/06/2024 00:47

What I have found is that if you go and book the flights they then before they finish that process offer a car or a hotel. I have no idea why this throws up stuff that doesn't come up on the holiday site.
