Can you recommended a specific hotel/resort?

What I’m looking for:

  • as short a flight as possible from Glasgow and as short a transfer as possible from the airport on the other side
  • early June travel - 7-10days most likely
  • beachy type holiday
  • first holiday since having DC - will be 3.5 at time of travel
  • Happy to go AI or SC or anything in between. Even if AI we like to eat in local restaurants some nights so close to town etc would be ideal! If SC we’d prefer to have cooking facilities in our accommodation.
  • suite/apartment within a hotel preferred rather than sharing just a room
  • kids pool at hotel but not bothered about kids club as we wouldn’t use it.
  • Some nice areas to wander round and explore would be ideal. Don’t want a hotel that’s miles out of a resort.

If it helps give an idea of what we like - DH and I have visited some lovely adults only hotels in Cala D’Or on Majorca and loved those. Really liked it as a resort too.
Also visited Las Americas (Tenerife) and ended up in a hotel right next to the strip which definitely wasn’t our cup of tea 😅😬Obviously now we’re aiming for child friendly too 🙈

Can anyone recommend any specific hotels/destinations? Fairly flexible budget.

Some options - I recommend Jet2 but may be possible with others!

I think Menorca is a great combo of short flight and lots of the resorts are short transfers (3h from Glasgow)

Royal Son Bou Family Club (20-25 mins from airport) - close to Son Bou/San Jaime and to a lovely beach which is perfect for kids. The hotel has a kids pool with slides etc. There are one bed and two bed apartments as part of the hotel with kitchenettes but can also do HB/AI.

Insotel Punta Prima Suites (20 mins-ish from airport) - Punta Prima is a really lovely resort, this hotel has a kids pool, suites, is a nice distance from the centre of the resort, large suites available.

Zafiro Palace Palmanova has a nice little splash pool. Really easy walking distance to both the beach and the shops/restaurants. 25 mins transfer from airport.

@Fivemoreminutes1 Thank you! Have you been there yourself? I had actually looked at this one before and it looks almost perfect for us but the suites seem to be just a big open planned space with a sofa bed etc?
DH is a horrendous snorer and wakes DC up so in an ideal world we’d have a suite with either 2 bedrooms or a bedroom and a living space with sofa bed.

Menorca, Cala Galdana for me. Been 3 times and would go back like a shot.
Portugal, Alvor, lots of hotels along the most beautiful beach.

Forgot the hotels!
Cala Galdana- Hotel Cala Galdana, both Jet2 and Tui go there.
Alvor, any of the Pestanas are great. We stayed at one of the cheapest João II

@LittleBumblebee3 We stayed in a penthouse suite and they have sliding doors to separate the bedroom from the living area.
