Anyone been to Turin?

I’m desperate to visit Italy again however the prices of the hotels in Florence/Rome/Venice are so expensive! I’ve done some research on Turin which seems to be more in my budget and seems nice. Has anyone been? I would be visiting in September. Thanks

My 2 nephews are students in Turin. It's lovely for a couple of days but are you sure it will work out cheaper than Rome?
We found Rome dirt cheap compared to Florence etc. Turin isn't known for being budget friendly

I loved Turin, really laid back compared to the other cities you mention. If you are going there I would also visit Genoa and the Cinque Terra. Milan is worth a few days too.

Another option is to stay outside or Rome. Bus routes are really easy to navigate, you don't need to be right in the tourist spots. Rome is incomparably magnificent and needs to be done at some point.

Florence is slightly overrated. It's lovely but it's not Rome and the expense and tourists are packed into a very small city.

Thanks all. Yes Turin is definitely cheaper and I haven’t been before. I’ve been to Rome and would like to do it again however the accommodation is just too expensive!
