3 Days in Algarve

[Algarve3days]

We are expending 3 full days in Algarve soon and I am looking for advice on what we should not miss. I appreciate it is not long to see the whole area but want to focus on the main things. We want nice beaches, nice scenery, sight seeing, some walking, good food. We don't want overdevelop resorts with high raise buildings and would prefer authentic Portugal.

Ideally we would go to the beach in the morning, then go for a walk in the afternoon either near the sea and the to the towns towards the end of the day. We will have a car and will be based in Tavira.

We stayed in Carvoeiro a few years ago, which is lovely, but probably a bit busy for you want.
We visited Ferragudo which was charming, and enjoyed walking along the amazing rock formations of Algar Seco.
There's so many tiny hidden beaches along the coast, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Nip over the border to Ayamonte in Spain

Tavira is lovely, I'd stay there! Lovely beach 🏖

Thank you, we just want to see more of the Algarve so want to spend one day in a different area, eg one day Tavira, one day lagos, one day Cavoeiro, one day Alvor but only have 3 days, wish it was a week,

I read Cavoeiro is nice, also Alvor and Lagos. Don’t mind a bit busy, but don’t want a place full of high raise buildings.
