Holiday to Prague - recommendations?

I’ll soon be visiting Prague for the first time with my two adult DDs.
We’ll be there for four days and are planning to see the Old Town, the castle and its grounds, the Zizkov tower, the Kafka museum and the Communist museum.
Does anybody who knows Prague have any recommendations for further activities/places to eat, or just general tips? Also would it be best to book tickets for the places we want to visit in advance, or buy them on the spot? Many thanks

To visit Obecni Dum, The museum's of Decorative arts, a trip.our to Strahov Monastery . It's worth taking a gulded your of the castle as it's easy to miss bits by yourself.

I've been quite a few times but apart from the entrenched bars restaurants change so much. . One I know that's worth going to is U Medvidku a traditional Prague pub with their own beer and traditional food.

if you have time I'd recommend going out to the zoo, it's very spacious and the elephant enclosure is huge. Unlike British zoos eating and drinking is dead cheap.

If you're going in the summer Prague has a beer garden tradition it's lovely sitting outside with a cold beer.

Highly recommend spending time in Josefov, the old Jewish quarter. The Pinkas synagogue is very moving. The Spanish synagogue is a beautiful building. Worth going to see the Kafka monument too. Good coffee at a place called Caffe Pascucci.

The Klementinium library is absolutely gorgeous - you have to go on a guided tour and basically just look at it from a viewing platform rather than going in but we thought it was well worth it. It includes going up a tower too which at the top has the most perfect view looking over The Old Town.

The Jewish Quarter is fantastic and very interesting. If you don't pre-book, then get your ticket at one of the synagoges, not the cemetry as the queues are the longest there, with a ticket, you just walk up to get it scanned.

If you book castle tickets, they need to be printed, not just having the QR code on your phone, we made the mistake and ended in a huge queue at the only ticket office in the complex to get the paper ones.

Communist museum - no need to pre-book, I think it's actually not possible.

Restaurants are cheap compared to the UK. They do make great hot chocolates with real chocolate, there is a tiny cafe on the castle side near the Charles Bridge which has a hot chocolate menu.

I would use Get Your Guide for tickets. It’s a really easy app to use and we used it when we went to Rome. Have an amazing time!
