Llandudno, York or Stratford upon Avon.

Ooh, more tricky when you live in the Midlands but want to go to a nice seaside place......

I'm probably lucky in that respect as would be able to get to the east or west coast of northern England. Could also go to the Lake District, NY Moors, Dales, Peak District, North Wales. If we're allowed to go on the train and get the timings right, I could probably also get to London or Edinburgh.

Northern Lake District
Northumberland
Elie
Aviemore
Taymouth Marina
Melrose/borders area

Absolutely spoiled for choice

HalfasleepChrisintheMorning · 22/06/2023 06:47

Northumberland
Or Anglesey as never been and it looks lovely.

I'm pretty lucky as I live in Cornwall so have access to lots of seaside places. I'd probably go St Ives.

Curious as to how this helps you, OP, if we all in different places and don’t know where you live?

They're phishing for information by the looks of things.

AxolotlOnions · 22/06/2023 07:37

Northern France, maybe Belgium.

grimmers44 · 22/06/2023 07:40

West Wales, or the South hams

BiddyPop · 22/06/2023 07:40

North Wales near Anglesey.

Or west Clare around Lahinch.

Or I could get to east Cork easily but 3 hours I'd get some way into west Cork like Clonakilty, just not as far as I'd like (Baltimore, Sherkin Island or Beara peninsula).

The op didn't ask for help. Can people only ever ask for help on mumsnet? No light chit chat allowed?

Filey for me OP 😊

Whitby. We needed somewhere no further than 3hrs due to travelling with my disabled foster son. Whitby is perfect 😍

Kazzyhoward · 22/06/2023 07:52

York or Whitby

ReviewingTheSituation · 22/06/2023 07:55

As far along the south Wales coast as I could get. Should make the Gower in 3hrs, as long as it's not a Friday!

Or the coast around Seven Sisters, with thr same caveat.

Snoken · 22/06/2023 08:15

Probably Sandhamn (although that would be on a boat), otherwise Mariestad or Västervik.

Maglin · 22/06/2023 08:16

Northumberland

lurchermummy · 22/06/2023 08:17

Devon or Pembrokeshire. Or stay at home!

mondaytosunday · 22/06/2023 08:27

My default is Isle of Wight as my son and friends live there.

Surely2023IsTheYearForMyRainbowBaby · 22/06/2023 08:33

Durham or Newcastle

thathitsthespot · 22/06/2023 08:44

Dumfries and Galloway

squashyhat · 22/06/2023 09:03

The New Forest, Isle of Wight or Dorset

Nap1983 · 22/06/2023 09:05

Aviemore, my happy place

jellyminelli · 22/06/2023 09:06

BeanCounterBabe · 22/06/2023 09:10

Cornwall, North Devon or Somerset. I live in Devon so staying home would be no hardship either.

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 22/06/2023 09:13

New forest Bournemouth or Cotswolds

MissAmbrosia · 22/06/2023 11:46

Dutch coast
