DH gets a company car with free petrol, so the last 2 Saturdays we have been to the beach but want to do something else tomorrow but I can't think what. Petrol/distance is no problem but money is tight until payday so zoo/farms (they all seem to be more than the zoo!)etc. are pretty out of the question. All I could come up with was driving/walking round the New Forest and having a picnic, but we drove through it the last 2 weeks. We do have NT cards, but looking I can't see anywhere that seems good for a toddler (& dog) apart from Studland beach (where we went Sat.). TIA if you have any suggestions!

depends where you are in berks

but we often go to dinton pastures country park to walk and feed the ducks (that's 2 separate activities, we don't walk the ducks )

West Wittering is nice, space for dogs to run, down the M3, M27, A27. Stones for toddler to throw into the sea.

Queen Elizabeth Country Park is fun on the A3.

The Look Out Discovery Centre, in Bracknell, woodland and adventure playground for little ones.

Place I always mean to go to is down the M4, Bowood House, it opens again this month.

THatcham Nature Reserve is free - good play area and walks.

Snelsmore common - another good walking option, can push a buggy /trike easily as is flat and broad paths

Victoria Park in Newbury - has a park, canal with ducks, library with good selection of kids books.

Set up adventure course in garden for two year old and the dog - lots of fun together at home and get covered in mud, get water involved for that one.....
