Recommendations please! 2 adults, Friday - Sunday. Never done a European Christmas market but would love to! Would do Scotland/Ireland if people recommend but thinking more Germany/Poland/France etc!

We did berlin a few years ago. Highly recommend. We went to 3 of the big markets, I think there’s over 20 in total through out the city. They all have their own theme, some are a lot more foodie, some are more family orientated, with ice rinks and big wheels etc. we were there Friday-Sunday and also did a few touristy bits, saw the Berlin Wall, DDR museum etc. We booked through British airways holidays, they often do good deals with flights and hotels for the Christmas markets, I think jet 2 do as well.

I liked Nice and Toulouse. Nice was still warm during the day. Frankfurt has a busy market, though not much else to see.

Vienna was magical

Wroclaw was amazing. It's a beautiful city, cheap to visit/stay in and the Christmas markets are huge! I'd definitely recommend

Dusseldorf and Cologne are lovely and v close to each other. Berlin has lots of markets too and was great!
