Lively family hotel

We have a 10 and 7 year old who love jumping in the pool, mini discos and staying up late with us in beachside restaurants. Our idea of a holiday is being able to relax whilst they are entertained and going for meals out at night. Can anyone recommend somewhere with a bit of nightlife, not quiet and still family friendly? Bonus points for hotel names. Quiet is our ideal of a nightmare.

Are you wanting to go abroad or stay in the UK? If you want the UK, I would look for a hotel that does something for the children, skip eating out in the evening by eating in the hotel & eat out at lunch time. I took ds to Blackpool where we stayed in a lovely family hotel with indoor & outdoor pools that was just across the road from the beach. It was during a heatwave when temperatures were in the high 80's, we went out in the morning either on the beach or shopping & amusements, had lunch about 12.30pm & then back to the hotel around the outdoor pool, then showered & changed for dinner at 7.00pm followed by entertainment in the hotel & a late stroll on the front before bed. Ds was 8 & loved it, it wasn't that expensive, maybe £150 a night Dinner, bed & Breakfast, once we arrived we never moved the car, just bought a pass for the trams. We only missed the hotel entertainment twice to go to shows on the pier. The hotel was at the far north end almost at Bispham, so wasn't typical tacky seaside like.
