Heading to Berlin at the end of July. Would love some tips on what to see/do and where to eat. Ideally would like some free/cheaper options as well as ticketed venues. Thanks in advance!

Struggling to find hotels in Berlin with family rooms (with availability) - can anyone recommend any that they liked please to try to help with the search?

We stayed at Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie. It was quiet, well equipped and there is a Lidl just round the corner so we ate in our apartment to keep other costs down. There are several of them in Berlin at different locations.

Thanks @Edamummybean It doesn't seem to have rooms for the nights we need although I might try to tweak the dates to make it work.
Any other recommendations greatly received

we stayed at Numa Arc Kreuzberg. It's a weird set-up: a staffless hotel, with customer service by Whatsapp. We had the family suite which was very spacious, and there's a kitchenette with hobs, coffee machine, microwave, sink, fridge to make light meals and snacks. No oven. Brilliant location right by the U-Bahn and round the corner from the Kreuzberg Lidl. No restaurant, so for us breakfast was Lidl bakery stuff.

There’s one of those Numa self-service places near to Checkpoint Charlie too.

Book a tour into the Bundestag- the German parliament/ free and fun. There is a mirrored glass dome on top which is great.

head out into the Spreewald on the S bahn and hire a canoe to explore the canals through the forest. Some lovey bier gardens there too
