Hi all,

hoping someone can give me some thoughts! Partner really wants to book a luxury all inclusive for a week in September as we’ve had a busy couple of years and just wants to do nothing and get pampered. While I personally prefer more ‘doing stuff’ holidays e.g. historic sites and interesting little towns, he is paying so happy to just go and have a nice time with him.

we previously did ikos Olivia in September 2020, somehow managed in a gap in vivid restrictions. Personally found it a little dull but was lovely to just chill and service outstanding, we were deluxe so basically had the pool to ourselves and a four posted bed on the beach. Covid did mean all evening entertainment was off which may have improved it and as we were all Covid tested before being allowed in we couldn’t leave for day trips etc.

partner wants to go back to an ikos as exactly suits what he wants (basically just fantastic service and relaxation). We were looking at Andalusia as need to go either late September or first week October around work. We also have no kids. Seems to be either £3500 or £5100 for the deluxe upgrade.

has anyone done both normal and deluxe at ikos and is there a noticeable difference? Is it still easy enough to get a good spot by the pool and beach? And how it the evening entertainment normally? I’m worried without kids and it being normal busy again we will just feel out of place in a family resort.
