Is it worth it?

YES!!!

SpainToday · 18/06/2023 17:43

If you mean the one in Tenerife, then yes, it’s great!

SilverCatStripes · 18/06/2023 17:44

YES !!

FuckStonewall · 18/06/2023 17:47

Yes it's great. Definitely take water shoes/sandals that stay on your feet though.

ImSoShiney · 18/06/2023 17:52

Even in August though? It doesn't get too packed?

We went in August, it was busy but not too crammed

ImSoShiney · 18/06/2023 20:06

Great thanks 😁

Yes, we thought the fast passes were worth buying

wherethewildthingis · 19/06/2023 22:09

Yes but you must plan ahead carefully! Get on trip advisor read all the tips and get planning!

I'm not sure a day at Siam Park needs careful planning ?? Just turn up and enjoy yourselves!

Iridescentsy · 20/06/2023 10:19

Get there as soon as it opens and head straight to the wave pool. It’s really lovely when it’s deserted (might sound like a strange thing to say but it is)

But if you don't plan and don't turn up early, you find yourself queuing a lot of the day, unable to find sunbeds, lockers, waiting ages for food and drink, queuing to get on the slides etc.

Whereas if you think and plan a little, you can avoid the worst of the crowds and have a much better experience that will often cost you less as reading the tips will teach you that it's a good idea to take drinks and snacks in so you don't have to queue to buy them at stupid prices, but to do this, you need to hide them at the bottom of your bag to get past the bag searchers.

jellyminelli · 20/06/2023 14:30

If you read TA reviews then planning is a must. However, the food reviews are good and apparently nobody is searching bags.

We will go in august but planning to buy fast passes

And miss the chance to avoid an hour long queue?

Otherland · 20/06/2023 14:32

We are going this year! See you on the slides.

MiniCooperLover · 20/06/2023 15:50

We went last year. Lost a lot of the day queuing outside (and that was WITH tickets) just to get in. Inside the park was great, lots of fun. But fast passes essential if you can pre buy.

jellyminelli · 20/06/2023 17:36

You can't pre-buy fast passes

rookiemere · 20/06/2023 17:46

Pre book and get fast passes when you arrive. If it's very sunny wear a rash vest and bring cheap sliders ( in case they get nicked)

Go straight to the lockers as they can get booked out.
If you aren't planning to spend all day in the rides go first to the wave area to get decent loungers.

Food is actually really nice if you go to the one beside the wave machine. I always have roasted chicken with roast vegetables.

When you leave you usually get the opportunity to buy a return ticket within the week for half price, so it's worth going early in your stay to decide if you want to take advantage of that.

We got free entry with our hotel. We didn’t bother with sun beds or food (only snacks and drinks in bags). Didn’t wear flip flops nor sliders around the park either. Went early ish, used lockers and queued for the slides. Might be an idea to start the far side of the park then work your way back.
Once we had enough of the slides/lazy river/wave pool, we went back to our hotel, had lunch and got sun beds around that pool instead.

Homebody1976 · 30/12/2024 20:18

Can you reserve sunbeds with your towels, or do they get stolen / moved?

BlackSheepThisYear · 30/12/2024 20:42

We went in August. It was rammed. Queues were ridiculous. The lazy river was chaos and dangerous at times with groups of grown adults all trying to hold hands in a chain, knocking small kids under the water. On the plus side we enjoyed the beach and wave pool. We got there early and ran for the main rides we wanted to do so did 3 rides really quickly before the masses swarmed in. The park itself is lovely and green and you feel like you're in a tropical paradise, not the middle of a town! We got free burgers with our tickets which were really good and the chips and drinks were reasonable. I've heard that the evening sessions in August are less busy which may be an option. I've been to Tenerife a few times since and never felt the need to make a return visit!

We actually had a really good day- of course there are queues- it was the middle of August! However we had coincidentally headed for the "Dragon" to get a locker which is right by some of the main rides, and as we were there just as the park opened my son had had 2 goes on the Dragon, the Volcano, the Jungle Snakes, the Naga Racers and one go on the Tower of Power within the first hour which we thought was pretty good. The queues did increase as the day went on but we just went to do other stuff like the beach and the water play area so it wasn't a problem-food and drink was the same price as it is in any comparable park in the UK/USA- you know that it is going to be expensive so am not sure why that is a shock to anyone. The park itself is well laid out and yes the concrete does get hot, but you can easily leave your flip flops at the bottom of the rides and there are big umbrellas giving some shade in the queues. You can also wear a t-shirt on the rides so that you can stay covered up all day and some people had wetsuit type shoes on which was very sensible! - I was horrified to see so many toddlers and small children without even hats on which given the blistering sun was inexcusable. We had a good fun day in a well designed park which coped pretty well with being very busy. 100% buy your tickets before you arrive, you will get into Siam Park much faster - tiqets.tp.st/ajeq3IvU
