Which is your favourite Caribbean island?

Our favourite is Nevis. We like that it’s undeveloped, quiet, lots of history. Food is incredible (but expensive!). We prefer understated rather than big chain hotels.

We also love Bequia but feel it’s becoming quite popular for those who dislike the new Mustique.

Grenada is gorgeous if you avoid Grand Anse. Antigua is gorgeous if you stay at English Harbour.

The one near the sea

Why comment if you’re not going to or able to contribute to the discussion?

OP, we also love Nevis. We tend to stay at Montpelier Plantation or we rent a cottage in the hills overlooking the sea.

It can be quite reasonable. We get flights on points in economy as fly a lot for work (dp is a lawyer). Then can get lovely airbnbs for £80 a night. Last Christmas we got flights and accommodation for a week for £1000.
Sure, it won’t suit everyone, but that’s why we have free will! The Caribbean really really isn’t a posh destination, I’m not sure why some people have that belief.

Ooh! Hadn't thought of air bnb for somewhere like Caribbean. Watching!

Jamaica because of the culture, the people, the food and most of all the music. We always spend a few days in Kingston but then stay in quiet villages and rent places locally. There is so much to see and do :)

I’ve only been to Barbados; three times so far and another trip planned for March. We love it there x

I’ve only been to Antigua and I loved it, especially English Harbour Town. Hoping to move to the States in a couple of years so we’ll do some of the other islands then as they’ll be on our doorstep (ish).

Watching this thread with interest!
