Solo travel

Just wondering if anyone has been to Argostoli in Kefalonia as a solo traveller?

I’m mid fifties and looking to book a short holiday, maybe 5 days. This will my first time travelling on my own.

I’m more than happy in my own company, would take headphones and load my kindle with books. Happy enough to sit by the pool by day, but am a bit concerned about feeling unsafe going out in the evening to eat?

If anyone has been and could advise, that would be great.

I have been to Kefalonia and absolutely loved it, and want to go again. I wouldn't stay in Argostoli though. I recall it being quite built up and not too much character, although this was c15years ago. We did see a turtle swimming in the harbour though!

We stayed in Scala which was lovely and Sami was v nice. Definitely a safe and peaceful island. I would be happy to go there on my own.
