We are looking for a weekend break, ideally under £400 for 2 nights. We've never been, just wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Just DH and I.

My regular hotel is The Highfield in Keswick. The rooms with balconies overlooking the park and fells are beautiful

Both the Swan at Newbury Bridge and the Swan at Grasmere are lovely. The former might be out of budget a little but they sometimes do special offers.

Recently stayed at The Inn at Grasmere which was lovely. We booked as they have a swimming pool and breakfast was also very good.

The Daffodil at Grasmere was set on the lake, very pretty views and reasonably priced

The Wild Boar in Bowness

Do you want to be in a village/town or more remote?

ksjsb · 21/06/2023 13:40

Thanks all, we will have a car so rural is ok but was probably thinking more village/lakeside type setting, would be nice to walk from the hotel.

The hotels all look beautiful.

I'm not sure on budget as we stayed in a lodge but Another Place is beautiful. I can also second the recommendation for The Daffodil, it's lovely n
