Best things to do in Rhodes - family holiday with teenagers

hi
we go to rhodes next week, please can anyone recommend stuff / places to do and go with a large family including teenagers ?

The water park is great, the teenagers would love it.
Day trip to Turkey?
Lindos to see the acropolis, wander round the town & swim in the calm bays.

Water sports at Tsambika Beach
Go for a walk in Butterfly Valley
At the toy museum you can play with pinball machines and vintage arcade games.

Yes to the Waterpark.
Rhodes town is a must.
My DH pulled someone unconscious out the sea in Rhodes iirc!

Prasonisi at the southern tip of Rhodes, it's where the Mediterranean meets the Aegean sea, it's fantastic, massive beach, one side is calm (med I think) and the other is wild (Aegean) there's watersports, windsurfing etc it's really spectacular. Google it.
Lindos is fab and so is Rhodes town, go to Lardos on the way down to Prasonisi, Lardos has a lot of watersports, Ringo's, boats etc.
Or pass back through Lardos on your way back and stop at Rulas restaurant for a rack of ribs 🤤

We are staying in Ixia so close to Rhodes Town :)

Do you think we need to hire a car - I was hoping not to,,, ?

Oh lucky you, Ixia is just near Rhodes town, you can be in Rhodes old town every evening! It’s wonderful

if you decided to hire a car for a day, if teens getting bored, it’s such a small easy island to explore and you run into lovely little villages and beaches- it’s a great island for a day exploring. Afantou has the clearest water I’ve ever seen!

Lindos is fab but if you want to go up to the acropolis you need to be there at 8.30am. We finished it around 10am and walked down past the queues of people who booked it as a tour and they were queueing in the heat.

Rhodos Town

Butterfly valley - it's beautiful but do check if they are already flying, not sure when the season starts. If you go, then again, be there early.

We looked into some boat trips but DD is prone to seasickness and we left it in the end.

A bit away from you but the small monastery of Moni Thari is beautiful. If you choose to visit one, they have rules about covering up, skirt longer than knee, long or 3/4 trousers, nothing sleeveless.

Take watershoes as the beaches are often pebble.
