step daughter coming on holiday with us

My Step daughter is coming to Dubai with us this summer. I'm researching hotels and all i can find is an extra bed in a double room.
This doesn't really afford any of us some privacy though, especially as my Step Daughter is 16 years old.
Do hotels do connecting /extra rooms on request or does anyone have any suggestions to approach this?

Two rooms?

DustyLee123 · 14/06/2023 21:27

I’ve had connecting rooms before, but not in Dubai.

Had a family holiday over Christmas in Dubai. Family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids). Booked hotel directly as needed connecting rooms. We stayed at The Meydan and they were very accommodating. I suggest contacting the hotel directly to check availability.

All hotels have connecting rooms but you’ll need to book two rooms. Or a suite.

Why a connecting room? Why not just a room?

Air b & b? Does that exist in Dubai?

A lot (not all as suggested above) of hotels have connecting rooms but they're rarely offered online as it's very hard for an automated system to control that. Contact the hotels you like the look and price of directly.

Or look for hotels with suites that will have a separate lounge / sofa bed and bedroom area.

If you go on Airbnb and type in 3 adults Dubai Marina, there are plenty of lovely 2 bedroom apartments , beautiful views and a great location - prices much more reasonable than a hotel -£100 -£150 a night .

Ring the hotel directly- most will offer connecting rooms but you are essentially paying for a whole extra room.

A other option is you get a suite which has a separate lounge and sofa bed

You’ll need 2 rooms.

id so as pp suggested and get an apartment, it il give you the extra bedroom but also more space to hang out if an evening and such like.
