Paris for 18 month olds!

Has anyone been to gay paree with a toddler recently? And if so, can you recommend any particular highlights? We're staying with some friends who don't have kids so aren't likely to be particularly clued up as to fun places to visit / child-friendly restaurants etc.
Also - if anyone knows of babysitters / babysitting service over there, that'd be amazing too. Thanks

we are back from paris today with our 2.7 & 6 year olds, have visited a lot over the years since ds was 6 months. my top tip is the jardin d'acclimation at the bois de bologne (metro stop is les sablons) it's a permanent funfair and farm with play areas too. we spent the whole day there & both children had a fantastic time.

the metro is very buggy UN-friendly, be warned. much worse than the tube.
