I’ve booked Alcudia for this summer. I’m reading such mixed reviews that i’m starting to worry. Any experiences? Did you enjoy it? My girls will be 3 and 5. We’ve booked SC at Siesta 1.
Thanks in advance.

Phew, I thought this was baby names for a minute!

We were just outside the town, down near the nature reserve, and loved it.

I thought it was nice, 2019

It's been a while, 2017, but it was nice. We were 5 mins walk from the beach

Sorry, but we really disliked it. We somehow made a major cock up and booked the wrong hotel (they had similar names) so it wasn’t the kind of place we’d usually have booked.

Puerto Pollensa nearby is gorgeous though! Especially the old town.

I think Alcudia can suit if you’re looking for an easy bucket and spade holiday, which from their age I’d say you are. Hope you have a lovely time.

It’s not the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in but the pool is great (and the little splash park) and you’re in walking distance of loads of restaurants, supermarkets etc, there’s a decent shop on site. 10-15 mins to the beach - the water is gorgeous and very safe for kiddies. However, there’s also a bus that stops really near Siesta that goes to Pollensa, the old town, and Alcudia harbour which are all worth a couple of trips out for a few euros. It’s what you make of it!

Thanks everyone. You can read reviews but it’s so hard to know isn’t it. Thanks for your comments. Hopefully we’ll enjoy it x

I went many years ago and thought it was super tacky. BUT the beach was very child friendly, wide soft sand and the sea was very gently sloping - useless for actual swimming but perfect for small.

don’t expect a sophisticated resort and you’ll be fine. Puerto Pollensa nearby which is lovely. Also the old town of Alcudia itself is lovely.

We stayed in Pollensa and went to Alcudia a couple of days. Old town Alcudia is lovely. Parts of the strip in the resort were really tacky - places serving fry ups and roast dinners.
