What to wear in Egypt

In 40+ degree heat...

Do sleeves have to be long or just shoulders covered?

How long do trousers/skirts need to be?

Can I wear a normal bikini at the hotel pool?

Scouring vinted as we speak!

I went for loose flowing trousers/overshirt, in cotton/linen, and a large brimmed hat. I saw a lot of tourists in skimpier outfits with badly blistering sunburn.

Around the hotel normal holiday dress is fine so shorts, vests, whatever. Bikinis around the pool also fine. If you go to "local areas" you should probably cover up a bit.

I would worry about being insensitive/stared at in anything skimpy!

I'm only buying linen and cotton, it was more in regard to what was OK culturally.
