Arriving in Lucca around 6pm. Leaving 3pm the following day. Booked a B&B just outside the walls. What to do, any food recommendations? Me, DH, DS9, DD7

Walk around the walls, go up the tower which has trees growing at the top of it, and I'd have lunch or dinner in the main square (which is more of a circle, IIRC). It's a beautiful town - I'd just enjoy wandering around if I only had a day (which I did, and that's what I did!)

Hire bikes and cycle the walls. Stop now and then to take it all in. There are some cafes on the route.

Get to Piazza del Anfiteatro, this oval shaped piazza is a delightful place to stop for coffee or lunch, and watch what's going on. All around there is great to wander around, and is near the Torre Guinigi with the holm oak trees growing from the top, as mentioned by pp. This is the busy, buzzy, historic area, although all of Lucca within the walls is magic.
