Ile de Re for October half term?

Has anyone been to the Ile de Re in October at all? Thinking of it for a half term break but not sure if the weather will be too changeable in October. We've got young kids so like to be out and about (or in the pool) as much as possible. thanks

We went October 21. Gorgeous weather, sea was swimmable (if you’re hardy!) but pools mostly closed, and unless heated weren’t useable. Quieter than summer though, and a great time to explore by bike.
