We are a family with young DD’s (8 & 5) looking at staying in the Zafiro C’an Picafort in Majorca in August. Would like to know what the area is like in general? We like to eat out & have a decent beach nearby. Reviews online look good but like to get mumsnet reviews as well.

Yes I’ve been lovely hotel we had a garden room which had a pool at the end of the garden.
we walked down to the beach one day but we mostly stayed on site as we only went for 5 days.
Its mostly about the pools at the hotel with good kids club

yes, we thought it was a lovely resort and very pleasant beach, as I remember the kids could paddle/wade out quite far before the sea becomes deep

Love the hotel but the surrounding area not so much. It’s about a ten minute walk down to the beach and the restaurants along the front. It’s a bit grimey imo, I bloody love a zafiro hotel but wouldn’t return to the area. We are staying in the tropic soon! We also went and had a nose round the Bahia which was lovely.

We went six years ago, the beach was lovely and had a few nice enough restaurants and bars on the promenade. Wasn’t a fancy resort and definitely a bit on the tackier side but certainly no Benidorm/Torremolinos vibes. Quite chilled and family friendly. Could drive to Alcudia and Porto Pollenca quite easily too if you fancy a change. Would recommend for a cheapest week in the sun x
