20s dd and I are going to a wedding first weekend in August. I’ve booked flights and wedding accommodation and will hire a car and now I’m looking for 2 nights somewhere interesting. Don’t want to go to Boston or New York as we live in the city and fancy a change. I went down a rabbit hole of sport camps but they all seem rather red and shooty. But a catered cabin with canoeing and walking or a boutique hotel on the coast? Any recommendations?
Thank you!

Ogunquit and Perkins Cove are lovely. We spent a week there a couple of years ago. Perfect for a couple of days.

No exact recommendations but Mane is lovely but I'd probably go to the Cape. Book soon though - it's summer and popular.

Thank you everyone! That’s exactly what I needed- some first hand advice. @Fivemoreminutes1 thats a bit £££ and bougie for us- I googled the areas @DibbleDooDah recommended and have booked this self contained cabin vibe short walk to the sea.

@Lamelie Looks perfect- I’m actually quite jealous!!! Make sure you get up to Ogunquit. It’s a lovely walk to Perkins Cove on the coast path (paved). Proper lobster rolls by the water. The bakery in Ogunquit was amazing too.

We also went to Kennebunk and Kennebunkport for a day. Lovely places to wander around, nice independent shops, good restaurants etc. You’ll be totally chilled yet have enough to see and do if that’s what you want.
