Krakow airport to old town - how much for a private transfer

Hi. I was wondering if anyone has been to Krakow recently and got a taxi or private car into the old town.

We will arrive quite late on Sunday evening so I've read that the train isn't ideal because the shopping centre that the main station is in will be closed. Our accommodation is also quite a distance from the main station.

Our accommodation has quoted €30 for the trip but I don't know if that is reasonable or not.

Does anyone know how much a normal Airport taxi would be?

I think that sounds about right, we have been twice and I remember it being about £30

We booked in advance online

I know Krakow well. 30 is a good deal.

I paid 120 Zlt (so £25) for one of the official black taxis from the rank outside the airport in April. Uber works well in Krakow and it cost me 60 Zlt plus tip to get an Uber back to the airport.

Get an Uber point to point. I've just paid 72.52 PLN to come from the Double Tree Conference Centre in rush hour (which is further on than the old town, although probably easier from a traffic pov) which is about £14. Yes, it might be a bit dearer than this as you are starting from the airport, and yes, later at night, maybe a bit dearer too but not a tenner dearer, also if your accom is nearer Kaminierz, this can be a bit more too. Walk over the road to the Hilton Garden Inn (literally 20 metres) and uber stops there plenty (as they are always dropping off) so you only have to wait a few minutes. If you don't like the price, you can always get an official taxi, and OPs are right about the price, pls be very careful about unofficial taxis. The train is brilliant (about £2 and actually faster than a taxi if you are going into Glowny main station) but it doesn't run late at night, and if there are a few of you, and your hotel is elsewhere, it doesn't really make sense, nor is it permissible on the 24 hour pass etc. Unless I was travelling alone, I would always get an UBER back into the airport after they cancelled an airport train I was due to go on with my son. We had to wait for over an hour for the next one, and they also changed platform with no announcements. I had left loads of contingency time but it all got eaten up and it ended up a right panic. We got there in the end for £4, but I wished I had just paid £14 point to point with Uber ! I've been 3 times this year, it is a wonderful place. Happy travelling.

Thank you for all of your replies. €30 seemed a lot from what I had read and was expecting about £20-£25.

I've now booked through Booking.com for £18 - let's hope it turns up!
