Teenagers - France - Any ideas

I’ve said I’ll take my daughter and her friend to France next year in the Summer, they’ll both be 15. Ideally I’d like to go in a chalet/Gite on a holiday site not too far from Calais or where I can get the ferry across and not have to drive too far in France.

Does anyone have any recommendations please?

TIA

Yelloh is a French company with a couple of sites midway between Calais and Dieppe. I haven't been to either but my experience with the company itself staying at another site was very good.

What do you/they want to do? See towns? Go to the beach? There are some lovely parts of northern France but equally some very dull bits. I’d focus in on an area. Dieppe is nice as is Boulogne. Calais is not great.

Le touquet has a lovely long Sandy beach, campsites in a pine grove, and it’s near nice places like Montreuil sur mer.

Could you get the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo? You’d have better options then (and nicer weather).
