Has anyone used this and did it all go ok? (I.e. no lost cases?!)

Thank you

Yes I have and it was great!

ThePortlyPinUp · 07/06/2023 18:13

We did it in April and it was fantastic. No issues whatsoever.

Dooopylally · 07/06/2023 18:16

I have too. Only worth it if you are handy for the airport!

Augustone · 07/06/2023 18:17

Absolutely worth it! Although factor in cost of parking at the airport when dropping it off

bettynutkins · 07/06/2023 18:31

Amazing thank you!

We are 20 mins from the airport but I'm still thinking it will be worth it as we have lots of luggage (car seats etc).

Yep we did it and it was great.

Nik2015 · 07/06/2023 18:53

Did it under 2 weeks ago from Manchester. Car parking cost £6 and we went straight through to security at 4am instead of queuing.
No issues with the bags getting lost, they were waiting for us at the other side.

hermioneee · 07/06/2023 18:54

Definitely worth it although we queued a long time for the actually twilight check in (possibly an hour) so don't expect a quick drop off and go. I'm glad I didn't go on my own to do it.

RichardsGear · 07/06/2023 18:58

If you do this then do you still have to do the whole 'get to the airport two hours before your flight' thing?

ohtowinthelottery · 07/06/2023 19:30

We haven't (too far from airport)but a friend has at Birmingham airport as she stayed in a hotel across the road the night before. TBH from our experience at Birmingham on our holiday a couple of weeks ago, we went straight to one of the luggage check in machines and checked our own luggage in. There was no queue and it took around 5 minutes so I couldn't see what would be gained from twilight check in (as I'd never risk turning up less than 2 hours before the flight anyway).

Coronationstation · 07/06/2023 20:11

Yes, used it last summer as we had one of the first flights of the morning. We air tagged our bags (it was when there was chaos with baggage handling anyway) and had the advantage of access to free parking near the airport so no additional expense incurred. It was a fairly short queue, the staff were really pleased to see us as they said they had several flights departing in the first hour the next day and it was just one less thing to do at 4:30am!

You need to do whatever you would do if you only had hand luggage, basically

I’ve used it twice and thought it was a brilliant service! Enjoy your holiday!
