Help me get ready for my first holiday

I have finally managed to book my first ever family holiday, yay.
As a family who hasn’t travelled, I need an idiots guide to start making plans. What do I to do/need know? Any advice and useful tips?

Holiday is for a family with two teenage boys, to a water park resort in Corfu, in the middle of July. Travel is with EasyJet from Luton and getting there by car.
