Would Egypt in July/August be total madness?

Hi all, has anyone been to Egypt during school summer holidays? We’ve been to Turkey a few times during July/August and been fine with the heat. It’s a fly and flop holiday with the kids. We like an all inclusive resort and happy to stay by the pool for the week. So not walking around in the sun. But would it be total madness to consider Egypt? Would it just be far too hot. The resorts in Turkey have been great at providing plenty of shade, so thinking maybe Egypt might be similar? Thanks.

I went to Egypt in August (I had to I was a teacher) and there was a shaded swimming pool which was lovely.

We’re both teachers too, plus school aged kids so it has to be school holiday time. Great to know there was shade, thought that might be the case.

I think you get what you pay for to an extent. Our hotel was fairly expensive but we met some people on a trip to Cairo whose hotel was at the cheaper end and it sounded awful. I think you need to read lots of reviews.

Thanks, I’d definitely look for a better hotel. This is what we did in Turkey. Was more concerned it might just be blistering hot and just unmanageable. But we don’t mind it hot.

You should be fine then.
