Family rooms!

I am looking for a week's holiday in Europe near a coast, any coast with a decent enough budget.

Why oh why is it so hard to find a hotel room where the kids aren't on a sofa bed?!

What do most families of four do - two interconnected rooms or do you fork out for a two bed suite?

This is why we have gone back to mobile homes. Dts are 12 too big for sofa beds, at least in a mobile they have their own space. They are still at the age where they like the activities / entertainment.

In a couple of years we'll be paying £££ for two rooms / suites.

I found two rooms actually not that much more expensive than a 2-bed-suite.

Our biggest issue. was last year that Tui/Jet2 only showed the bedroom/sofa bed in living room combinations but the hotel website actually also had proper 2-bedroom-suites. But the hotel classed 15 year old DD as an adult and the price skyrocketed. So we booked two standard double rooms with Tui where DD was still a child and the price was actually lower.

I know what you mean. My ds is 14 and taller than me ,no good on a sofa bed. We are booking Globales los Delphines in Menorca for next year. They have 2 bed apartments. It's not in the nicest area but Cuitadella is lovely just a couple of miles away.

Lyttos beach hotel in Crete. It had 2 separate areas and 2 shower rooms. With proper beds.

Rodos Princess Beach in Rhodes. Had a thin curtain separating the 2 areas with a double one side and 2 twin beds the other side.

Mitsis Faliraki do bunkbeds.

Mitsis Rodos Beach hotel in Rhodes has 2 bedroom rooms. I think quite a few Mitsis hotels have them or family rooms with a dividing wall.
