Train or taxi to airport?

Train would mean walk 5 mins to station, 5 mins on the tube, get the train, 30 mins to airport. about £65 return.

Taxi is obviously from outside the house. £85 return, direct.

Which will the more reliable journey?

How much difference will the £20 make to your holiday? For me it wouldn't even be a decision, £20 to save lugging cases around on tubes and trains and a smoother journey, to others it might be a day's spends while they're away.

Definitely taxi, for 20 quid more you can load your bags in and sit back and relax and no rushing about sweating and trying to drag bags.

I've missed flights because of crazy traffic and I've missed flights because of unrelaiable trains so tough one.

Which roads? Just had a nightmare on M25 getting to Gatwick. I’d personally allow LOADS of time for either option. Taxis is our go to.
