any views on Lille please for a weekend break?

my sister and I are planning on taking mum away for a short break in early September. We're considering Dublin, Prague and Barcelona and now Lille.

We've never been to Lille before - is it worth the trip?

my Mum went on Eurostar to lille, she said it was beautiful for a weekend break.

Out of your choices I have only been to Lille so can't offer any comparisons. I liked it

thanks for the replies. I'm just thinking it might be nice to go on the eurostar for a change (selfishly anyway, i've only been on it once and would love to go again)

It's a great city - lots of pedestrian streets and good shopping.
Nice & easy to get to.
Have to say that for September I would be tempted by Barcelona because it would be HOT! but then I live in Northern France and am biased.
