Anyone been to bologna?
Will only be there for a day on the way from somewhere else?

I want to eat the best bolognaise in the city.... any recommendations?

This one https://www.trattoriavalerio.com but it won't be spaghetti because spaghetti bolognaise doesn't exist in Italy. If it is on the menu, it is a tourist trap. You will get tagliatelle with bolognaise

Trattoria Valerio

Trattoria Valerio i veri sapori della cucina tipica Bolognese.

Ah that looks great, thanks!
Re spaghetti, i live elsewhere in Italy so I actually knew that but I'm a big pleb and refer to all long pasta as spaghetti BlushGrin

Osteria dell’Orsa. No fuss authentic local dining. Marsalino for Aperitivo. Snacks with wine. Italian student districts all have plenty of these bars with snacks. La Stanze for somewhere very special and Banco32 for simple offerings. Restaurant Casa Monica in a converted garage is great too.

We’ve just got back from a very brief stay in Bologna and ate at Sfoglia Rina, was great pasta but you can’t reserve and it always seems to have a very long queue.
