Summer 2024 - where to start?

We are looking to book a 2 week holiday next year for 2 adults, 16 and 14 year olds. I used to travel loads pre-kids but feel completely out of my depth finding something! Maybe because everyone has different ideas, including Scandinavia, safari and a lazy all inclusive in Europe.

Is it best to go with a big company like TUI or speak to an independent travel agent? If the latter, any recommendations? We’re in the Midlands but I presume most work online too.

And yes, I’m googling madly, but could do with some assistance! We haven’t had a proper holiday for years and don’t want to mess it up.

What do you like to do? What budget do you have? Do you want hot or not?

We've found Trailfinders to be excellent at coming up with suggestions for us when we're not quite sure what we want! We've always dealt with them over the phone and they then build you a suggested itinerary that you can view online.

Yes hot, or at least warmer than the UK would be good! I’m going back and forth between just booking an all inclusive for the ease of it, and putting together something more interesting.

Budget is 10-12k I think, although would be nice to find something cheaper obviously!

Thanks, I’ll take a look at Trailfinders.

What about Slovenia? The active ones can do outdoor pursuits, the non-active can laze by the lakes.
