Anyone been to Amalfi Coast near Salerno port - Vetri sul Mare for example? Was the sea dirty?

Hi, we were planning going to Italy and were looking at several destinations - and were advised by an Italian friend to go somewhere on Amalfi coast, to several places including Vetri sul Mare - which looks stunning, but there is a Salerno port nearby? Our friend says its not an issue, but I read a couple reviews online saying the sea is "not as clear" as the rest of the coast. Anyone been there? What is it like?

I have been there when we had friends living there. I went in the sea and didn't notice anything dirty! Like most of Italy there are very few stretches of "public" beach which get very busy. The sea itself was fine though. Vietri itself is nice but not as picturesque as the places further along the Amalfi coast.

Spent holidays near there - lovely coast, lots to do and sea was clean
