Greece or Barbados?

DP and I have 10 days holiday to use up by the end of June. I love Greece and go most years but dp gets a bit ferry sick so he likes to fly directly somewhere. (But we both agree that Greek islands without airports are the best...)

He’s floated the idea of going to Barbados instead. Weather still looks good in June. Found some nice looking apartments that are the same cost as Greece.

Where would you go?

Assuming you’re in the UK, the flights cost might rule out Barbados, no?

Maybe check the weather forecasts for stormy weather for that month?
My son honeymooned in the Caribbean in June a few years ago for a week and said although the mornings were sunny, in the afternoon it was often overcast and they had thunderstorms most days.

Barbados. Simply because you’ve said you go to Greece a lot. Try somewhere new.

Flight costs not really a problem, we’re happy to go in economy 😊

Barbados

Barbados can be very expensive for food and drinks....if you go, get main meals included...anything imported is treble uk prices, my sister paid £6 for an orange juice....bizarre.

Greece! Kefalonia

Barbados is amazing. Didn't find food/drink expensive - eat like a local! Plus there's so much to explore on the island with the history, different parts are different ecosystems eg jungle vs sandy beaches vs cliffs and the Atlantic. People are lovely and the snorkelling is amazing!

A friend of mine has family in Barbados and we rented their apartment which is in a great location. It’s beautiful and flights were reasonable when we went. Main issue is cost as it’s not really an all inclusive and food and drink out there was fairly expensive in the supermarkets for days we weren’t eating out

barbados any time fabulous island yes its not the cheapest for eating but the food is worth every penny

Where are you visiting from? We live in Zone 1 Central London and didn’t find the cost of eating or supermarkets hugely different to our local restaurants or Waitrose. If you are comparing with village pub in Northern Ireland (where I’m from) or Asdas then yes it will appear more expensive.

From recollection, we found the supermarket prices in Santorini to be extortionate. So same as always, shop around.
