Roda Corfu - shallow and safe sea swimming, other recommendations

We recently got back from Roda in Corfu and the sea was beautifully calm, the children could travel out quite far as it got deep so gradually and they loved it. It was a family friendly resort and would highly recommend it but we are keen to explore new places so won't return for a few years.
Can anyone recommend something similar, ideally in europe?

Looking at booking corfu next year. Did you stay in a hotel?
We are going to skiathos this year and went to Santorini last year. I don't think you can beat a Greek island. I've never been disappointed.

It was actually the first Greek Island we have done. We stayed at the Roda resort and Spa, really nice, fun for the kids. The usual issues with the AI getting a bit samey towards the end, loved it for the first few days lots of fresh, well cooked food but then it gets a bit repetitive but still found enough for the week. The wood fired Pizza oven was a hit with the kids.

I'm looking at this for next year - is it really loud and busy? We've just come back from a Tui Blue in Turkey and the constant banging music made me miserable. My kids won't do kids clubs, we just want to chill on the beach/ by the pool and wander to a little village/ town after dinner.

No not loud at all. The kids entertainment is the usual mini disco, games but it's in a purpose built amphitheatre in the grounds and not in your face, no loud music just blasting out. Greek lounge music in the dinner hall, greek versions of lionel richie etc. We had really peaceful sleep and similar to you, love the beaches, walking etc and this ticked the box for us.
