Antalya versus Gran Canary

I’m struggling to decide between Turkey (Antalya) versus Gran Canary. Family holiday with teenage boys. We love water sports and day trips. Food is difficult on holidays as we are vegetarians. And we are planning on August.
many suggestions greatly received. Thank you.

Turkish food is better for veggies than Spanish, I'd say. To ask what on the menu is vegetarian you say "Etsiz yemek varmuh?"

I agree Turkey is better for vegetarian food as you can have loads of mezes. It also depends when you are going and how hot you want it. Antalya is seriously hot in the summer months. It was 32 degrees in late May when we went and can get up in the 40s in summer.

Thank you very much.

In my experience activities were cheaper in turkey. Both are hot, but I definitely found Antalya hotter. Antalya does have amazing ruins and history

If the temperature's going to be a problem, have you thought about e.g. Madeira? Much more temperate all year round, and both watersports and day trips (including terrifying basket sledging down mountains!).

All very informative. Thank you. In the end I have booked Antalya. It will be hot no doubt. But lots of activities and historical places to visit. Will feedback in August. 😊

@SKKK which resort did you book if you don't mind me asking? I'm driving myself mad looking at them all
