We got back from a week in Corfu yesterday so obviously I'm planning next year's holiday already. We stayed at a 4* AI hotel which was...fine. It worked well in some ways - the buffet for fussy eating DS, some nice activities included like hiring a pedalo, a private beach, we had a villa so had our own space - but it was so, so busy and so big and noisy and there were just so many children everywhere. DS(4) found it incredibly overwhelming. It was, for example, impossible to use the pool most of the time because of all the kids with massive inflatables, all the chairs by the pool were taking by 7.30am etc, so much booze and drunkenness.
What we are really looking for next year is something which offers a similar AI package, the ability to maybe have two rooms so we don't have to share with DS, a private beach, pool, some activities but nothing too much and all on a much smaller and more relaxed scale. Maybe walking distance to a nice village or town with some restaurants. Nowhere where people are doing the Congo to baby shark at any point.
Does such a thing exist?
