Anyone in Croatia now?

What's going on with the weather? I've been checking the forecast for the last few weeks and it looks like constant rain and thunderstorms.. I've booked to go the end of next week and BBC weather has forecast 70% chance of rain
It's not normally like this at this time of year.. worried I'll have nothing to do and be stuck inside all day!

I’m going this weekend & joined a FB group Dubrovnik Croatia travel 2023 and although some rain it’s been mostly sunny so I’m hopeful!

I am going at the end of June for the first time and am super excited. Any tips?

It’s usually unsettled this time of year and it rains frequently in Dubrovnik, normally at night and very short and sharp. Been visiting Croatia specifically the Dalmatian coast for the last 15 years (hense my user name) and have never had a visit between June and Sept that didn’t involve some rain at some time. Makes no difference, it’s a remarkably beautiful place to visit.

Yes, we’ve had a couple of days in Split and we’re now in Zadar, hot and sunny lovely weather, have seen a couple of thunderstorms in the distance and a few spots of rain but that’s all, perfect weather really.

Considering Croatia for a fortnight in summer with my family. We're happy in a private villa or house, pottering and chilling for 2 weeks.

Can anyone recommend anything?

I was in Cavtat from 20 to 27 May. The forecast was absolutely terrible but every day the weather was beautiful. There was one thunderstorm on 25 May that lasted about 90 minutes.

@Berlinlover that sounds hopeful. Forecast is still dreadful every day .. need to stop checking it.
