Advice on birmingham airport / TUI self check in?

Hi all, new here.

Looking for some advice on TUI self check in at birmingham airport.

I understand that we’re meant to self check in before going to the airport and then can use the self check in machines to tag our bags etc and fully understand that.

But my question is, can prams/strollers be tagged using the self check in machines or will we have to visit a manned check in desk for this?

Im hoping to be able to use the self check in and express security to avoid what i’m expecting to be dreadful queues.

Any help appreciated.

We flew with Tui (albeit from Gatwick) a few weeks ago. Couldn't use the self-service machines for pushchairs/car seats etc so we had to go to a proper check-in desk for everything.

For non-standard baggage you usually have to go to a desk and then sometimes drop the item after it has been tagged at a designated outsize baggage drop.

When I last flew (not bham or tui) I tagged my cases at the self-service station then called an assistant over to ask what to do with our car seat. She directed me to the business class/special assistance desk to check in our car seat so there was no long queue. I've had similar a few times.

Flew with TUI recently and no queues at all
