Going to France in six weeks and passport has til December. Do you need 6 months on passport to enter France nowadays?

What's the issue date?
Your passport needs to be under 10 years old on date of departing the UK and then have 3 months remaining on it when you leave France

Issue date is fine, just runs out in Dec. Have done some manic googling and seems it’s ok! Phew!! Thank you

I mean you need to look at the issue date and add on 10 years as in the past extra months were sometimes added on making them valid for more than 10 yeads. The extra months no longer count for travel to Europe. If your passport was issued in December 2013 then that's fine

If your passport is less than 9 years 9 months old at the point you go then you are fine, if it’s older you are not
