Just looking at ocean el faro and grand sirenis Punta cana at the moment. Never been to the Caribbean with kids but went years ago. Kids are 17,15 and 8.

we have stayed at iberostar punta Cana, Baha’i principe grand Esmeralda, both lovely…. Last year we did ocean blue and sand and it was dreadful!! Would never do another ocean hotel again. It was sold as a 5star but realistically was at best a 3 star. Food was cold, rooms needed upgrading and the pools were filthy.

I've booked Dreams Royal Beach which gets good reviews.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro in Punta Cana was brilliant, it was adults only but the family friendly Catalonia was next door and we had access to both and that was nice too.

Oh no what a shame. I didn't realise ocean was a brand. This one is pretty new I think and looks the part. There's just such mixed reviews on all of them and I end up switching back and forth BlushGrin

Thanks I'll have a look at that. Adults only is the dream 😀

Don Rep is one place I would never go back to, just grim with sun and a beach.

Ah what a shame. How come?

We went to the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana over Easter this year. It was amazing value for money and we had a great time. I've been to nicer places but I'd still recommend it. The all inclusive included a fair amount of things that other AI places I've been to didn't. Like all a la carte restaurants and room service. It was pretty great
