Going on holiday with my husband, our 2 kids (4 & 8 months!) and my mum and dad. Accommodation wise I don't mind if it's a hotel, apartment, villa but I want a separate space for both my family and my parents. My 4 year old ideally wants a disco in the evenings nothing fancy just something for the kids. Pool is a must. Easy access to a nice resort centre (not too brits abroady) and beaches. Parents can't walk too far so nothing too out the way. I'm trying to figure it out and I'm just not finding anything that suits.

We loved Carvoiero (as recommended on here!). Our hotel was quite a walk from the town centre so wouldn’t recommend that one but there are much closer ones. There was music every evening in the town square where families would all come and dance to (so child friendly) and plenty of places to eat. Many of the hotels have apartments with 2 to 3 bedrooms. The town had a small beach, and there were plenty of other beaches nearby

Another vote for carvoiero - there's loads of threads about it on here if you search.

We also likes Lagos.and Sagres.

Alvor or Taveria

Love Alvor and Lagos, but tbh, you can't go wrong in my opinion once you've left Albufera and to a lesser extent Vilamoura.
There's a MNer who lives in Carvoeiro who'll be able to advise. She usually helps out on these threads and is a mine of info.
