Hotel central Paris

I may be asking for the earth here but am looking for a reasonably priced hotel in July 18-21 somewhere near to central Paris to take my 16 year old to. Any recommendations?

This article has some recommendations for budget hotels in Paris so may be worth checking out www.independent.co.uk/travel/europe/france/paris/best-cheap-hotels-paris-budget-b1965896.html

Alternatively, you could look at a chain like Ibis as they are reasonably priced - I would avoid the area immediately around Gard du Nord - but there are some in the 9th/11th which are fairly central. You get what you pay for in Paris, so read the reviews carefully - and make sure you have air con; it can get very hot in July. My favourite area to stay is the Latin Quarter - close to the Jardin du Luxembourg, but walkable
to the river, has a nice studenty vibe and loads of cafes/restaurants, so might appeal to a 16year old. The Marais (4th) is another area that might appeal.

Paris hôtel prices have shot up since Covid. I had a few very reasonably priced breaks between lockdowns but I only do it as a day trip now (live fairly close).

What's your budget?

I stayed here last year. It was very reasonably priced. The rooms were small but beautifully decorated and spotless, with a brilliant shower (much appreciated after a long hot day traipsing around Paris.

I like the Astotel chain. Reasonably priced, various different locations, well rated on review sites.

The one @SiobahnRoy linked to is one from the chain I am talking about.

They’re great hotels @MargotBamborough
